What is Amazon?

 In September of 2017 Amazon released the solicitation of proposals for the second headquarters site. Many cities throughout North America submitted bids and put together promotional campaigns to be considered and all competing for the chance to create new jobs and growth to their cities in exchange for substantial tax credits. An initial list of finalist cities was announced in January 2018 and Amazon announced that they would divide the HQ2 website in two locations: Crystal City, VA and New York City, NY. In February of 2019 it was announced that the NYC plans were scrapped due to the massive opposition from local and state officials. Crystal City HQ2 Crystal City HQ2 is expected to be completed by 2025. The distinct Operations Center of Excellence in Nashville, TN is expected to be finished by 2021.
